It’s so sad, that when tragedy strikes. An Ottawa woman died along with her 13 year old Dalmatian.

When I was a kid we had fire drills like at school even the Gold fish on the Piano was included in the

mapped out escape routes. Unfortunately we tend to act on emotion in these situations. Our pets

 are our family so we want to save them too. 

Many people drown going out on thin ice after their dogs. I certainly have run out into a busy street

to retrieve a dog crossing a road. 

Things we can do have a sticker on your door for Fire fighters or Emergency crew so they know what

pets are in the house. Practice escape routes with your family.

Try to calm yourself so you can help yourself and your casualty and not become one.
